Frontiers Special Issue on Emotion-Cognition Interactions Receives 'Popularity Award'.

Special Research Topic Edited by Dr. Florin Dolcos (UIUC), Dr. Lihong Wang (Duke), and Dr. Mara Mather (USC), titled "The Impact of Emotion on Cognition – Dissociating between Enhancing and Impairing Effects”, has received a 'Frontiers Popularity Award'. The Special Topic is co-hosted by Frontiers in Neuroscience - Integrative Neuroscience and Frontiers in Psychology - Emotion Science.

Initiated in Fall 2011 and finalized in Spring 2013 this special issue has been very successful in attracting contributions spanning from behavioral to brain imaging investigations, and including empirical, theoretical, and review papers alike, on both humans (both healthy and clinical) and animals. Hence, with over 60 manuscripts published across the two co-hosting journals, it is at the top of popularity among the Frontiers Special Research Topics.
